My wife and I have studied at NUMA for 4 weeks and it was surprisingly good! The different environment and the teacher rotation were interesting, made us leave the comfort zone of getting used to one teacher only. It worked very well for both of us and we would definitely return for more classes in future! I will finalize with a big thanks to NUMA and all the teachers we’ve worked with, it was memorable and we are missing it already!

This language school is very effective for Korean English learners.
1) Good for improving speaking and listening skills
In Korea, I took English courses that focused on reading, so I'm strong in vocabulary and reading, but not in speaking and listening.
My main purpose of studying English abroad is to improve my speaking and listening skills. This school is very suitable for me because their classes are very small with only two to four classmates, so we can have enough time to practice our speaking skills. Their classes consist of three sessions: Vocabulary, Grammar and Conversation. We also have a lot of time to speak in the Grammar and Conversation sessions.
2) The teachers are fantastic and energetic.
Since teachers often have time to talk with students during break time, we can ask questions and have opportunities to talk with native speakers. I think some teachers are younger than teachers in other schools, but it's not a problem because they are energetic and do their best to prepare and teach their classes. They also have many experienced teachers from many English speaking countries including USA, Canada and UK. In my experience, they are all the best.
3) Tuition is cheap.
This school is cheaper than other schools. The agency for Korean hasn't introduced this school. I think they don't have any connection with the agency, so they can be cheaper. If you have a friend, you can get 20% discount. Because they hold free tea time for everyone including non-students in this school, you can make friends there and get 20% discount.

캐나다에 와서 이곳 저곳 어학원을 다녔는데요. 그 중 가장 만족한 곳이었습니다. 사실 여기까지 와서 공부하는 이유는 우리가 못해왔던 말하는 거에 익숙해지기 위해서인 거 같은데 문법같은 건 오히려 한국에서도 가능하니까요. 누마는 거기에 가장 적합한 학원이었습니다.
1. 선생님들이 그런 수업 방식에 익숙해 우리가 자연스럽게 익숙해지게 해줍니다. 기다려주시고 더 자연스러운 표현도 가르쳐주고요. 그 수업자료도 공유해줍니다. 그리고 선생님들이 정말 좋습니다. 캐나다 사람이 좋다는 걸 여기서 많이 느꼈습니다.
2. 티 타임을 여는 곳이다보니 거기 참여도 자연스럽게 됩니다. 잘 말하기 위해선 영어 말하는 시간도 늘려야 하는데 거기에도 좋은 것 같습니다.
이 학원에 정보가 없어서 오기전에 알지 못한게 한스럽군요. 혹시 오기전에 어학원 정보를 찾으시는 분이있다면 혹시 회화가 중점이시라면 다른 유명 어학원보다는 여기를 추천합니다!
Studying at NUMA was such a wonderful experience! The instructors were kind and patient and led the classes in a way that you WANTED to speak French all the time without them having to enforce it. I took their Fluent 23 course and the difference I felt at the end of my time there was uncanny. In the classes, we focused on speaking, but also went over vocabulary and grammar in a way that it was applied to our conversations. I liked having different teachers every day because I was able to explore each of their strengths. The atmosphere there was great -- all the staff knew us by name and were very supportive. Highly recommend!

You will be speaking from the first class, in every class, with the encouragement of positive teachers and supportive fellow classmates. In the past, I had always been self-conscious of my halting speech, as I translated each word in my head. But after four weeks at NUMA, I felt that I had definitely made progress.
Then, as I was leaving my rented condo to return home, I stopped to speak to the young man at the security desk. It wasn’t until I waved goodbye that I realized we had been speaking in French. Success! Thank you, everyone at NUMA.

The teachers are very professional, knowledgeable and patient. The environment is warm and cozy and I always felt motivated to learn. I have seen a significant improvement in my French language skills and I am now much more confident in my everyday interactions. I urge anyone who is sat on the fence about whether they should invest in lessons to jump off and get in touch with the Numa Institute and let them help.
There are so many options and despite feeling nervous about learning. All the teachers put you at ease. They meet you where you are and really in a short amount of time I had made a noticeable improvement and felt more confident to speak.
Stop trying to learn alone, ditch the app and sign up. You won’t regret it.
